vEXP Modes
---
vEXP has currently 2 differents modes that affect the way the scattering vectors can be moved : free mode and snap mode. The mode can be changed in the menu in "Modes" or using **Ctrl+S** (for snap mode), **Ctrl+F** (for free mode).
### Snap mode
In snap mode, scattering vectors position is restrained to a discrete set of points on which each sphere of the scattering vectors can snap on. The grid subdivision can be changed on the grid panel (Panels > Show grid parameters).
The adaptive grid means that the grid adapts the number of subdivision depending on the zoom level. **Beware the grid adaptation only works under 2D view (Reciprocal View 3D > Toggle 2D View)**

#### Export to nomad #### Export to nomad
To exports all trajectories into a XBU file readable by Nomad, click on "Export to nomad" button on the trajectory panel (Panels > Show Trajectory). It will create a XBU file named vEXP.xbu under the user's XBU path.
